Museum Highlights Tour (3.45-4.30pm)

Multaka-Oxford tour in Top Gallery at the History of Science Museum

Free entry   —   All welcome   —   Meet in the Entrance Gallery

From awesome astrolabes to Einstein's Blackboard, join our volunteers for a tour of our highlights and stories.

Public museums started here when the building first opened its doors in 1683 as Oxford's home for ‘natural philosophy’ (what we now call science).

We're a small museum full of big ideas, so you'll have time to visit each floor, find out about its original use, explore some highlight objects and stories—and discover our ambitious plans for the future.

Subject to availability

The tours are led by our volunteers and subject to availability. We may not be able to run every tour if one of our volunteer team is unwell.
