Two groups of design students – four MA students in jewellery design from the Royal College of Art and ten BA (Hons) students in Creative Arts and Design Practice from Banbury and Bicester College – took part in design projects focusing on the Museum's new shop as a potential outlet for creative design work. The students generated proposals for bespoke design products suitable for retail in the Museum's shop inspired by the Museum's collection.
The two groups of students had introductory visits to the Museum in November to get to know the collection, took part in a study day in January in which they met with shop managers and museum staff, and prepared for a 'Dragon's Den' style presentation in March 2017.
